Get Super Healthy with Superfoods

Knowing what to eat can be tricky if you don’t do some research or ask a professional. But, if you take these superfoods (in addition to eating healthy and keeping active), you are bound to see results whether in weight, energy, or even if you just want to feel good with yourself.

Berries

You see, not everything healthy doesn’t taste good. Berries are an excellent source of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. Berries are even said to help reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer.

 

Nuts & Seeds

If you thought that you should avoid fats all together…think again. Our body needs healthy fats and you should look no further than nuts and seeds. They can give you the healthy fats your body needs.

 

Acai

Although this is a berry, it deserves a separate place on our list. This berry originates from South America and is bursting with anti-oxidants and is even known to help with weight loss and anti-aging. You can get these in pulp, tablets, powder or frozen. Cocoa Powder

Believe it or not, but not all chocolate is unhealthy. Cocoa powder can be used in anything you want to add a strong chocolate flavour to. It helps lower blood pressure, and is less than 15 calories for every tablespoon you have! Be warned though…make sure to get natural cocoa powder, because some are processed and then you can say bye-bye to all those vitamins.

 

Chia Seeds

Watch how these small hard seeds soak liquid and become like jelly! These seeds are bursting with omega-3 fatty acids and calcium. They are absolutely amazing in puddings and smoothies. Check out these chia recipes to give you some ideas.
